Mr. Sims is the chairman and founder of the global product innovation consulting firm, GEN3 Partners. He has a 30 year track record of building market-leading professional services and technology companies. Before GEN3, he founded Cambridge Technology Partners Inc., which eventually became the leading consulting and systems-integration company of its kind. Prior to CTP, he founded Concurrent Computer Corporation, which became the pre-eminent real-time information company under his leadership. In addition to serving as the chairman of Specialists On Call, Mr. Sims currently serves on the boards of EDS and Thru Inc., and is the current chairman of Airgain Inc., American E-Pay Inc., Groxis Inc., GenXL Inc., and Leveler LLC.
Fred C. Goad, Jr., Director
Mr. Goad is co-founder of the private investment company, Voyent Partners LLC. He has over 30 years of experience building and running companies that provide superior electronic transaction processes, as well as information and technology services for the healthcare industry. Mr. Goad served as the co-chief executive officer of the transaction services division of the WebMD corporation from 2000 to 2001, and prior to that he served on the board of directors of Quintiles Transnational Corp. He founded his first company, Envoy, in 1985 and pioneered electronic transaction processing services for the healthcare industry until the company was eventually acquired by Quintiles in 1999. Mr. Goad currently sits on the boards of the Luminex Corporation and several private companies.
Bevil J. Hogg, Director
Mr. Hogg is a director of the advanced cardiology instrument control system designer and manufacturer, Stereotaxis Inc. He served as the company's CEO from June 1997 until his retirement in January 2009. Prior to 2007, he also served as its president. From 1994 through 1996, Mr. Hogg served as the president and CEO of Everest & Jennings International Ltd., a manufacturer of wheelchairs and other hospital, home care and nursing home products. Prior to Everest & Jennings, he was a founder or co-founder of three companies, including the Trek Bicycle Corporation. Mr. Hogg received a Diplôme Superior d’Études Française from the Sorbonne.
Joe Peterson, M.D., Director and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Peterson has over 20 years experience as CEO of five companies in service industries—both private and public, domestic and international—including companies in the call center, scientific and medical staffing, hospital services, claims administration and specialty marketing businesses. Prior to his business career, Dr. Peterson practiced as a board certified emergency physician in the emergency department of The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he also was an associate clinical professor of emergency medicine and a fellow of the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He received his B.A. and M.D. degrees from the University of Michigan, and did his specialty training in emergency medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
L. Keith Mullins, Director
Mr. Mullins has over 25 years of experience in the investment business and is the founder of Greenwoods Capital. He previously headed the European Investment Bank Technology Group at Schroeder Salomon Smith Barney. Prior to joining the European Investment Bank, Mr. Mullins directed the Emerging Growth Stock Group at Salomon Smith Barney in New York. He held a similar position at Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc., after beginning his career at Dean Witter & Company as an emerging research analyst.
Francis X. Egan, Director
Mr. Egan is a managing partner of Gen3 Capital as well as a managing director of Northwater Capital Inc.’s merchant banking division. He has over 20 years of experience in the securities industry as a senior vice president with PainWebber, Kemper Securities and Daine Raushcer. Mr. Egan currently sits on the boards of Gen3 Partners, American ePay Inc., Groxis Inc., and serves as an advisor to First Stage Ventures.
David Butterworth, Director
Mr. Butterworth is president of the investment advisory firm, Townsend Group Investments Inc. He manages a considerable private investment fund comprised of both common stock and private equity investment opportunities. Mr. Butterworth has been with Townsend Group Investments for 20 years, during which time the company has delivered consistently impressive investment results. He is responsible for providing the initial equity for Specialists On Call and has been instrumental in its continued development and growth. Mr. Butterworth is also a past board member of Airgain Inc., and Pragmatic Vision International.
Mr. Toscanini is the CFO and senior vice president of GEN3 Partners. Prior to GEN3, he worked with Cambridge Technology Partners where he was responsible for all finance, treasury, legal and investor relations activities. He also played a major role in its initial and secondary public stock offerings, as well as its seven acquisitions. Mr. Toscanini also served as vice president and controller of Concurrent Computer Corporation, where he oversaw worldwide accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting activities, and helped the firm with its initial public stock offering.
A. Travis Spitzer, Director
Mr. Spitzer is a principal in the multi-faceted, boutique investment banking firm, Concordia Capital Partners, LLC. In addition to providing investment and advisory services, Concordia originates, structures, markets and manages private placements focused on the healthcare and health services industries as well as infrastructure software and technology companies. Mr. Spitzer and his firm co-founded or was part of the initial capitalization of a number of successful companies, including Corticon Technologies, XIFIN, and Ensign Group Investments, structuring the initial capitalization of the Ensign Group.
